The Volkswagen Jetta is the least expensive German sedan / wagon market in North America, 2011 marks the debut of the saloon of the sixth generation. The Jetta SportWagen helps bridge the gap between the Golf and Tiguan in the Volkswagen lineup.
The Jetta sedan and SportWagen offer three different engines, a 115-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas (sedan), a gas of 2.5 liter five-cylinder and generating 170 horsepower and a 140-hp 2.0L TDI clean diesel four-cylinder engine for those seeking maximum fuel economy. Buyers who go to any gas engine can choose from a five-speed manual transmission or six-speed Tiptronic automatic, while the TDI buyers choose from a six-speed manual transmission or an automatic DSG six-speed Tiptronic. All Jetta are standard safety features like six airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, electronic stability program, Tyre pressure control, brake assist, seat belts with pretensioners, traction control and head restraints on all seats.
